2009 TRAIL/SIDEWALK PROPOSAL – PAGE ONE

The Neighborhood Association recently received a letter about a major project (click here) that is being proposed for Home Place.  Please relay this information to your neighbors who may not have Internet access.

The author of the letter, Hayley Steele, had additional information regarding this matter that is set out below.

1.    In the first paragraph of the letter, it states that the east-west trail/sidewalk will be on 105th Street.  That should be 106th Street.

2.    On 106th Street, the trail/sidewalk will be on the south side of the 106th Street, from Pennsylvania Parkway to Rangeline Road.

3.    On College Avenue, the trail/sidewalk will be on the west side of College Avenue, from I-465 to 106th Street.

4.    The current plan is to use existing right-of-way and not to take any additional property.  So, the trail/sidewalk should be either 8 feet or 5 feet, depending on the existing right-of-way.

5.    The property owners have not yet been notified.  They will be notified individually when a survey of property is done.

6.    They do not anticipate that this project will begin before August of this year; it may begin even later than that.

7.    If you have any comments or questions, please contact the following people.  They would like your input before July 7, 2009.
